I and almost all of my friends received a response that additional information was needed for processing your case and hence additional delay blah blah.. I think this guy just decided to use security message for your responses. I wouldn't worry about it. If you want to really check this, you can definitely make an appointment at local office and talk to the IO there. But it was even a bigger waste of time in my case. The IO at local office looked at his system/systems and told me that if it is a green card application its faster(just another month or so) and if it is a h visa there is a few month delay:confused: Go figure..

It is not true that Many people have to wait 10+ years to get gc. May be some people might wait for 10 years because of frequent change of jobs , layoffs and also ignorance of green card processing. Most of the time EB2 waiting time is 2 to 3 years. Indian EB3 is in worst situation but only for past 2 years and before that everything was current. For that also most waiting persons filed I 485 because of July VB issue. In my opinion EB3 PD will be backdated up to 5 years.
Also there is no legistrative activity in Congress about any immigration issue. Always skil bill comes in limelight when congress is in Session. But everyone knows that skil bill is asking too much in H1b and immigration numbers because of exemptions and it will be very difficult task. But no one in pro immigrant community is ready to compromise on numbers. When Congress tries to curb the abuse of H1b even pro immigrants are opposing the bills without any suggestion of any alternatives. If some bill comes for only GC that too moderate increase in numbers that will have bright chance of passing in congress.
You should not expect any rally will produce meaningful reform. It has to be proved that additional immigrant and H1b numbers will produce more jobs and it should not create unemployment in americans.Just sufferings of gc waiters is not enough. Ummm.. I did not know that one can do a diploma after 10th grade in India and after that, a year to get bachelors? You are right... its not very clear from the original post.. and can easily be misinterpreted as (10+2+3+1) which is 16 years of education.

I would think coming from MI, a state that has one of the highest unemployment, and the relief that the auto industry got - it continues to exist because of those liberal fiscal policies.
Besides, his being liberal fiscally/socially has nothing to do with our issues. He is probably the best ally for our issue in the democratic circle...
Cannot agree more, I find it idiotic we blaming someone because they are liberal in something. Most of us come from a country where 90% of the time "corrupt" is the only way we can define politicians. Listening to talking heads on TV shows and parroting the same crap sounds stupid. The environment right now is not conductive to any kind of immigration bill unless done in very absolute secret. This is a lame duck session,no one knows what will happen after 2 years.

Hopefully the economy continues to improve ,due to so-called liberal policies, and we have better job market and public sentiment improves. Don't know if IV has any strategic plan for this time frame.

I completely agree with JK...i work here in Phoenix in a construction company, and many of the legal immigrants (including Latinos, indians etc....brown skin people) have started to worry about this bill becoming law....every other person in our company have experienced what this would bring us....
We have been working in various cities here in AZ, and travel is a must for us...
Once, while I was driving to Tucson for a project inspection, i was stopped by border patrol agents at 2 different locations....i mean to say, they were not stationed in a booth or any thing, they had patrol cars just like cops....they just park their car on the shoulder, and wait for any brown guy driving across....
Infact, one border patrol agent followed me for about 2 miles, then drove right next to me, again slowed down to get behind me, and turned on the lights...so, I had to stop....luckily, i had my EAD card, which is always keep in my wallet, even though I am on H1-B....however, he insisted that we (as in legal immigrants) should carry our passports (Original and not a copy) with us when we travel...which is totally rediculous!!!!!
what irritates me is that these guys don't even understand what an EAD is.....he was expecting that I should have a visa inorder to be in the US....it took almost 25 to 30 mins to explain my status (H1-B, but not stamped in my passport)....that an approved H1-B petition is enough to stay and work in the US.....HE JUST DIDN'T GET IT!!!!!....in the end, this guy, as though he was doing a great favor to me, said that he is allowing me to travel on humanitarian grounds and with a warning....f&*k*&^ bull%^&*......
I have traveled many times with my coworker who is caucasian, and not even once have I had a problem with border patrol agents.....
I just don't know what to say!!!!!! is it their lack of common sense, or knowledge, or is it just plain blunt racial profiling???????

This is the simplest Action Item ever, no travel, no holding placards, no visits to lawmakers, no real world activity. All that's needed is pen, paper, envelope and a stamp.I can't imagine anyone here who cannot afford any of these items.
Most members here will benefit here by 3 year EAD/APs, job flexibility and promotions. Members who missed the July VB boat, and new applicants, will get to apply 485 and get into the line. There was a hue and cry sometime back about restarting I-40 PP. Even that group stands to benefit as their demands are included too.
Hence the current low-level of participation is surprising. If we cannot collectively write even a letter for our cause, we might as well pack up or stop waiting/discussing VBs. They will be bleak for at least 4-5 years more. Come on folks, we can do better than this. We will write those letters and we'll succeed.
Write those letters and update the tracker. Your kids will thank you for it when they growup (all the money saved from 10 years EAD/AP can be turned into savings for them)

with a staffer to 11th April 2:30pm.
This is going to be in downtown Albany.
I am not sure who all are up here in Albany but a head count would help.

The disappointing news is that the projections for EB2 for India born applicants will not advance for several months. For the months of October and November 2010, the Department of State has used 700 EB2 numbers and that does not count the demand for USCIS for EB2 numbers.

Guys nothing new in here, EB2 I/C will most likely have to wait till the spillover season starts in Jul 2011 there will be good movement atleast equal to last Year so do not worry, we just need to be patient. for Eb2 I/C folks except if the PD is very close like in May it�s time to take a chill pill because the annual allocation is not even enough to take care of PD porting or older applications.

Please do this asap.
Just put total amount you have spent for 485 like Medical cost, attorney fees, mail service, birth certificate, cancelling your planned trip , photos and so on.
